Basketball Recap: Webster Comes Up Short

Webster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 70-42 loss at the hands of the Leola/Frederick Titans. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Titans are ranked 34th).

Webster's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Leola/Frederick, their win bumped their record up to 17-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webster will head out to challenge Milbank at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Milbank will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Webster surely won't give up without a fight. As for Leola/Frederick, they will venture away from home to square off against Herreid/Selby at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
