Basketball Game Preview: Cleveland Blue Raiders vs. Bearden Bulldogs

The Cleveland Blue Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Bearden Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cleveland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.4 points per game this season.

Cleveland is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 74-30 loss at the hands of Walker Valley. Having soared to a lofty 60 points in the game before, the Blue Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Antonio Westfield, who posted four points and seven rebounds. Jayvon James also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Bearden faced Maryville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Bearden managed a 57-51 victory over Maryville.

Bearden pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Cleveland, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Cleveland might still be hurting after the 69-43 defeat they got from Bearden in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Cleveland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
