Football Game Preview: Trinity Christian Lions vs. Fort Worth Christian Cardinals

For the first time this season, Trinity Christian will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against the Fort Worth Christian Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Trinity Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Tulia, posting a 49-0 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Fort Worth Christian put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past St. Joseph to the tune of 45-7. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Flyers are ranked 730th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trinity Christian better focus on containing Kason Anding and Landon Gigliotta as the pair were huge in Fort Worth Christian's win. Anding rushed for 108 yards and two scores on only 12 carries, while Gigliotta threw for 204 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes. Anding's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 108 rushing yards.

Trinity Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fort Worth Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Trinity Christian lost to Fort Worth Christian on the road by a decisive 17-0 margin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Gigliotta, who threw for 226 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
