Softball Recap: Rock Hill Blue Hawks vs. Plano West Wolves

Rock Hill proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 16) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Plano West Wolves 3-1.

Madilynn Grossman made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Grossman wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aliyana Sanchez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Lilly Kroll also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
