Needles waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Laughlin Cougars a 16-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Tuesday.
Scotti Powell was a standout: she scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Edey Ponce was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3.
