On Thursday, Valley City faced Kindred in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Valley City Hi-Liners slipped by the Kindred Vikings 53-52. Winning may never get old, but the Hi-Liners sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Valley City is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Kindred, they moved to 12-4 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.
