Baseball Recap: Salesian Takes a Loss

Salesian and Anaheim squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Salesian had to settle for second. They lost 9-1 to the Colonists. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colonists apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2017.

Mark Velasco was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two triples and one run.

Salesian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Anaheim, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-10.

Salesian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Anaheim, they will face off against Schurr at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Spartans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
