Eastgate Life Academy will take on the White Creek Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication,  the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Eastgate Life Academy saw some tournament action  two weeks ago. They took  a  73-56 bruising from Philadelphia Christian School. Eastgate Life Academy hasn't had much luck with Philadelphia Christian School recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

 Despite their  defeat, Eastgate Life Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Grayson Mayfield, who  went 8-for-12  en route to 18 points and six  rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The dominant performance also gave  Mayfield a new career-high in  shooting accuracy (67%).  GABE MOODY was another key player,  going 5-for-12  on his way to 17  points.
Meanwhile, White Creek Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup  on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They strolled past the Warriors with  points to spare, taking the game  56-41. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
 Eastgate Life Academy better keep an eye on  Maximus Whitmire. He was instrumental in White Creek Christian Academy's win,  almost  dropping  a double-double with 18 points and nine  boards. The  contest was  Whitmire's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was  Mycah Lewis, who  posted 11  points.
 White Creek Christian Academy's victory was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 20-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 71.4 points over those games. As for Eastgate Life Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
Friday's  game is shaping up to be a scrappy  matchup:  Eastgate Life Academy has been crashing the boards this season,  having  averaged 29.7  rebounds per game. It's a different story for White Creek Christian Academy, though, as  they've been averaging  only 6.7  boards. Given Eastgate Life Academy's sizable advantage in that area, White Creek Christian Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
 Eastgate Life Academy was dealt a bruising  69-39 defeat at the hands of White Creek Christian Academy when the teams last played  back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of   Whitmire, who  almost  dropped  a double-double with 19 points and nine  assists. Now that Eastgate Life Academy knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
