Baseball Recap: Crest Takes a Loss

After flying high against Marmaton Valley on Thursday, Crest came back down to earth. The Lancers lost 9-2 to the Wildcats on Thursday. The match marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Henry White made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played.

Crest has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-6 record this season. As for Marmaton Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Crest will be playing at home against Kansas City Christian School at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Marmaton Valley, they will head out on the road to square off against Marais des Cygnes Valley on Monday.
