Soccer Game Preview: Summit vs. Eagle Valley + How To Watch

The Summit Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Eagle Valley Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Summit will be strutting in after a victory while Eagle Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Summit got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They had just enough and edged out Glenwood Springs 3-2. The game was the first time Summit have beaten Glenwood Springs on their pitch since September 1, 2022.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Eagle Valley was not quite Battle Mountain's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 4-2 to the Huskies. While losing is never fun, Eagle Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Battle Mountain are ranked 13th).

Eagle Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Summit, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Summit came out on top in a nail-biter against Eagle Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
