Volleyball Recap: Mesa Grande Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mesa Grande Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Crossroads Christian Warriors.

Mesa Grande Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-18.

Leading Crossroads Christian to victory were Alyssa Mishriki and Karla Garcia. Mishriki had 15 digs and two aces, while Garcia hit 66.7% for six kills and 14 aces and eight digs. Those six kills gave Garcia a new career-high.

Mesa Grande Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Crossroads Christian, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesa Grande Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Redlands Adventist Academy at 8:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Crossroads Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Norton Science & Language Academy at 2:30 p.m.
