If Lutheran Northwest was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lutheran on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders fell just short of the Seaholm Maples by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Crusaders' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The 2-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by two points or less. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 26-24.

Lutheran Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14-1. As for Seaholm, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-22-2 record this season.

Lutheran Northwest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Bishop Foley on the 23rd. Seaholm does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
