Soccer Recap: Stuarts Draft Takes a Loss

Stuarts Draft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Nelson County Governors, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Nelson County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in March.

Stuarts Draft's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Nelson County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stuarts Draft will welcome Buffalo Gap at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stuarts Draft are facing Buffalo Gap at the right time seeing as Buffalo Gap are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Nelson County, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Appomattox County at 7:00 p.m. Nelson County will be up against Appomattox County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.1 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
