Volleyball Recap: Norwayne's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Norwayne came tearing into Thursday's matchup with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Dalton Bulldogs 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Norwayne's got stronger as the match went on, holding Dalton to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-13.

Ava Maibach paced Norwayne's offense, picking up 17 kills. Maibach got some help from CJ Moore and her 17 assists. Finally, Maibach was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high five blocks.

Norwayne's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Dalton, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-2.

Norwayne and Dalton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Bobcats (ranked 73rd) will meet Central Christian (ranked 330th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dalton will take on Rittman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (49 vs. 429).
