Baseball Recap: Buckley Comes Up Short

Buckley was the 7-6 winner over Suttons Bay when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears fell 5-2 to the Norsemen on Tuesday. Bears fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Norsemen since on Tuesday.

Buckley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Francisco, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Buckley has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Suttons Bay, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-14 record.

Coming up, Buckley will head out on the road to challenge Marion on Friday. Suttons Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
