Recap: Beach Bulldogs vs. Savannah Country Day Hornets
The Beach Bulldogs lost against the Savannah Country Day Hornets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Beach fell 48-41 to Savannah Country Day. Beach has struggled against Savannah Country Day recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Beach saw an underclassman step up: Mariah Reid scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. That was a full 63.4% of Beach's points, marking the 21st time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Aziyria Phillips was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Beach's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Savannah Country Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Beach does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Savannah Country Day also has no future games currently scheduled.
