Baseball Recap: Mira Monte Takes a Loss

Mira Monte's tournament run continued when they took on Caruthers on Wednesday. The Lions lost 11-1 to the Blue Raiders. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mira Monte saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cristian Villalpando, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Villalpando's first of the season.

Mira Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Caruthers, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mira Monte will welcome South at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Caruthers, they will host Chowchilla at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
