Basketball Recap: La Salle College Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact La Salle College can now relate to. They fell to the Archbishop Ryan Raiders and Ragdolls 52-48. The Explorers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders and Ragdolls earlier this season, when they won 77-64.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Archbishop Ryan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malik Hughes, who went 5 for 10 to rack up 14 points and five blocks. What's more, Hughes also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Mark Gallagher was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 20 points and five boards.

La Salle College's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Archbishop Ryan, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.

As of now, neither La Salle College nor Archbishop Ryan have any future games scheduled.
