Baseball Recap: Byrd Takes a Loss

Byrd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to the Haughton Buccaneers. If the Yellow Jackets were looking for revenge after losing 12-10 to the Buccaneers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Byrd's loss dropped their record down to 6-11-1. As for Haughton, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season.

While Byrd had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
