Volleyball Recap: Edgewood Comes Up Short

Edgewood lost against Talawanda back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Brave, falling 3-0.

Molly Vogel paced Edgewood's offense, picking up seven kills. Vogel got some help from Ella Crist and her 13 assists. Railynn Bowman controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Edgewood dropped their record down to 8-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Talawanda, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgewood will head out to take on Fairmont at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Talawanda, they will square off against Franklin at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
