Basketball Recap: Jordan Evans Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Luther Prep

Living Word Lutheran lost to Luther Prep back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves secured a 60-54 W over the Luther Prep Phoenix. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Phoenix are ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Living Word Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Evans, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points and five assists. With that strong performance, Evans is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Weissenburger, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Living Word Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Luther Prep, they dropped their record down to 4-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

When Living Word Lutheran and Luther Prep next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose.
