Washburn was led to victory by Ebany Hill and Saylor Clay. Hill scored 24 points along with seven rebounds, while Clay scored 21 points along with six assists. Clay has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. Callie Nicley was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Washburn has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Claiborne, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
