Volleyball Recap: Redeemer Christian Lions vs. St. John Lutheran Saints

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Redeemer Christian can now relate to. They came up short against the St. John Lutheran Saints on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-8, 25-10.

St. John Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Payton Nazzari, who had 15 digs. Nazzari is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Redeemer Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for St. John Lutheran, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Redeemer Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. John Lutheran, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Meadowbrook Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meadowbrook Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something St. John Lutheran surely won't give up without a fight.
