Softball Recap: Bessemer City Takes a Loss

Bessemer City fell victim to Hueytown and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Golden Gophers, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Gophers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 on Wednesday.

Bessemer City has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Hueytown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-13.

Coming up, Bessemer City will face off against McAdory at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hueytown, they will challenge Jasper at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Golden Gophers surely won't give up without a fight.
