Basketball Recap: Parkdale Comes Up Short

Parkdale and Flowers squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Parkdale had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Flowers Jaguars, falling 83-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since January 28th.

Parkdale's loss came despite strong showings from Jacob Wilson and Isaiah Richards. Wilson posted 14 points and seven rebounds, while Richards shot 47% from the field to rack up 18 points. Those seven boards gave Wilson a new career-high.

Even though they lost, Parkdale was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 8.4.

Parkdale's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Flowers, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-3.

Parkdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Flowers, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-52 win against Eleanor Roosevelt on the 6th.
