Basketball Recap: Guadalupe Centers Takes a Loss

Guadalupe Centers lost against The Daniel Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Guadalupe Centers Aztecs received a blow as they fell 54-38 to The Daniel Academy Lions. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The Daniel Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Hanson out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Hanson is becoming a predictor of The Daniel Academy's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Noah Lee, who posted six points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Guadalupe Centers' defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for The Daniel Academy, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Guadalupe Centers will host Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesterton Academy of St. Philip Neri will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Guadalupe Centers surely won't give up without a fight. As for The Daniel Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Daniel Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
