Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph's Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph's Catholic was the 2-1 winner over Porter-Gaud when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Cyclones by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, St. Joseph's Catholic sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 15-13.

BRIANNA ARMOCIDA paced St. Joseph's Catholic's offense, picking up six kills. ARMOCIDA got some help from EMI REESE HAND and her 16 assists. Finally, LONDYN WOODS kept St. Joseph's Catholic's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

St. Joseph's Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Porter-Gaud, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

St. Joseph's Catholic has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against James Island on the 30th. Porter-Gaud has also already played their next game (against Hilton Head Island), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
