Baseball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Audubon Wheelers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 9-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2025.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Audubon, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Riverside will square off against rival Underwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Audubon is set to challenge their familiar foe Logan-Magnolia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
