Volleyball Game Preview: North Central Knights vs. Landrum Cardinals

After both having extra time off, the North Central Knights and the Landrum Cardinals will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Central comes in on four and Landrum on five.

On Wednesday, North Central made easy work of Chesnee and carried off a 3-0 win.

While North Central won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Landrum extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Batesburg-Leesville. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers.

Landrum had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-20.

Landrum's win bumped their record up to 24-8-2. As for North Central, their victory bumped their record up to 25-5-1.

North Central beat Landrum 3-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2019. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
