Football Recap: Sebring Wins Going Away Against Lake Gibson

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sebring had no problem doing just that on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 20-0 margin over the Lake Gibson Braves. That 20 point margin sets a new team best for the Blue Streaks this season.

Sebring didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alanys Candelario Razon and Alyssa Gwaltney.

The win made it two in a row for Sebring and bumps their season record up to 4-10. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Lake Gibson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Coming up, Sebring will face off against Auburndale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bloodhounds' defense has only allowed 5.8 points per game this season, so the Blue Streaks' offense will have their work cut out for them. Lake Gibson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
