Baseball Recap: ALA - Queen Creek Takes a Loss

ALA - Queen Creek and Saguaro squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but ALA - Queen Creek had to settle for second. They lost 16-10 to the Sabercats. The Patriots have struggled against the Sabercats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Seth Nielson and Juan Pablo Altamirano stepped up to the plate in a big way. Nielson went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple, while Altamirano went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brasser Crumpton, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

ALA - Queen Creek's loss dropped their record down to 23-4. As for Saguaro, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11-1 record this season.

ALA - Queen Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saguaro, they will challenge Flagstaff on Wednesday. The Sabercats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
