Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jake Mcghee and Parker Holland Lead Silverdale Academy to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Battle Ground Academy, Silverdale Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They secured a 50-46 W over the South Pittsburg Pirates. The win was some much needed relief for the Seahawks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Silverdale Academy was led to victory by Parker Holland and Jake McGhee. Holland posted 16 points, while McGhee had 15 points. The matchup was McGhee's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Burger, who earned eight points.

Silverdale Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for South Pittsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silverdale Academy and Christian Heritage will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Christian Heritage knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Silverdale Academy likes a good challenge. As for South Pittsburg, they are taking a road trip to square off against Scottsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
