Volleyball Recap: NSU University Takes a Loss

NSU University and Monsignor Pace squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but NSU University had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, NSU University sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-16, 22-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-11.

Tiffany Mirabal was a one-woman wrecking crew For Monsignor Pace. as she had 18 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Mirabal has posted since back in September.

NSU University's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Monsignor Pace, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season.

As of now, neither NSU University nor Monsignor Pace have any future games scheduled.
