Basketball Recap: Mitchell Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 78-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Central Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejackets of the 61-54 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Mitchell's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7. As for South Central, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Mitchell has already played their next match (against West Washington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Central will square off against Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
