Basketball Recap: St. Paul Wildcats vs. Ravenna Bluejays
The St. Paul Wildcats fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Ravenna by a score of 37-27 on Thursday. For St. Paul, this counts as revenge for the 38-29 loss the Bluejays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
St. Paul's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracie Kelley, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Gracie Mudloff, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
St. Paul's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Ravenna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
St. Paul is on the road again on Saturday and plays the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Wood River will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Ravenna, they will take on the Centurions at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Centura presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bluejays in Nebraska (the Centurions are ranked 57th, while the Bluejays are ranked 201st).
