Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Comes Up Short

Cumberland was the 2-0 winner over Menomonie when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Beavers fell 2-0 to the Mustangs on Saturday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14.

Cumberland has been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-26 record this season. As for Menomonie, their win ended a ten-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-20.

Coming up, Cumberland will take on Hayward at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Menomonie, they will face off against Eau Claire Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games the Old Abes have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
