Baseball Recap: Woodbridge Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Woodbridge entered their tilt with Potomac Senior on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 back in April.

Potomac Senior's batters probably weren't too happy with Noah Parker, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (he gave up zero walks). Parker has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aiden Simoneau and Ethan Jackson did most of the damage at the plate: Simoneau went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Jackson went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Those three RBI gave Simoneau a new career-high. Mason Young was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

Woodbridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Potomac Senior only posted an OBP of .000.

Woodbridge pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Potomac Senior, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodbridge will face off against Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Potomac Senior, they will challenge Forest Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
