The Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Tigers waltzed into their game on Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They secured a 59-55 W over DuVal. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Devin Thomas, who scored 19 points along with five assists and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Aaron Jones was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for DuVal, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North will take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five games. As for DuVal, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wise at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Wise focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine last Thursday.
