Basketball Recap: Nash Central Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Nash Central waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 41-32 victory over the Bunn Wildcats. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Nash Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was A'Dia Cash, who posted 11 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Cash is becoming a predictor of the Bulldogs' success: when she posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was JaKayla Gay, who had 14 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Nash Central was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They are a perfect 9-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Despite the loss, Bunn still got an impressive performance from Ny'lah Mitchell, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Mitchell's third in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Richardson, who earned ten points.

Nash Central's record now sits at 11-4. As for Bunn, they moved to 9-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Cash and Journey Johnson. Meanwhile, Bunn is set to face off against their familiar foe Louisburg at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
