Volleyball Recap: Laton Comes Up Short

Laton extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 5-15. They lost 3-0 to the Wonderful College Prep Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Gabriella Alvarado paced Laton's offense, picking up six kills. Alvarado really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six.

As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0).

Among those leading the charge was Valeria Juarez, who had five aces and four digs.

Laton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Riverdale Christian on the 21st. Wonderful College Prep Academy has also already played their next matchup (against Kings Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
