Midland extended their postseason success on Saturday against Socorro. They had just enough and edged out Socorro 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Midland has posted since February 28th.

Malayah Carillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Midland saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamryn Weir, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Midland is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-6 record this season. As for Socorro, they moved to 30-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 12-game winning streak.
