Softball Preview: Ballston Spa Scotties vs. Albany Falcons
Ballston Spa has gone a perfect 5-0 against Albany recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Scotties will look to defend their home field against the Falcons at 4:15 p.m. Albany took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ballston Spa, who comes in off a win.
Ballston Spa is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Friday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Glens Falls.

Livia Wiltsie made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Ballston Spa let Madelyn Perrone and Brooke Lescault run wild. Perrone scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Lescault scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Lescault a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maedelyn Ebbecke, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Albany's offense. They lost 12-0 to Shaker on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Bison: they've now lost six in a row.
