Basketball Recap: Turkeyfoot Valley Area Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Turkeyfoot Valley Area entered their tilt with Paw Paw on Wednesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Paw Paw Pirates by a score of 80-71. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 275th in Pennsylvania, while the Pirates are ranked 109th in West Virginia).

Turkeyfoot Valley Area's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Nicholson, who posted 18 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Nicholson's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lance Jones, who put up 23 points and six boards.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area pushed their record up to 17-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Paw Paw, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
