Basketball Recap: Godley Takes a Loss

Godley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 44-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Venus Bulldogs. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 51-33 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Godley's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Venus, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.

Godley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Glen Rose at 12:30 p.m. on December 31st. Venus also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Alvarado on January 3, 2025.
