Softball Recap: Marquette Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Marquette's offense. They came up short against the Seneca Fighting Irish on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The Crusaders have struggled against the Fighting Irish recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Marquette saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madisyn Trainor, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Marquette's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Seneca, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 30-1.

Looking ahead, Marquette will venture away from home to take on Bloomington Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seneca, they will square off against Moline at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
