Recap: Westview Warriors vs. Central Noble Cougars
If the Westview Warriors were riding high off their 52-29 takedown of the Garrett Railroaders on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Westview suffered a rough 56-31 defeat at the hands of Central Noble on Saturday. Westview lost against Central Noble in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 44-28 score last time.
Despite the loss, Westview still got an impressive performance from Karis Weinberg, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds. JJ Whetstone was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Central Noble found their leader in underclassman Abby Pliett, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Pliett set a new season high mark in steals with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Swank, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Westview's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Central Noble, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westview will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Elkhart Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Elkhart Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Central Noble, they will head out on the road to face off against West Noble at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
