Covington Catholic had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down the Holy Cross Indians 64-47. Given the Colonels' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Indians are ranked 50th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Covington Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Holy Cross, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 17-11 record.
