Football Recap: Branford Hornets vs. Foran Lions
Branford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Foran Lions, falling 32-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 35-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Zachary Quieroz continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Foran, rushing for 150 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Foran is 3-1 when Quieroz posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Lefebvre, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Branford's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Foran, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-4.
Branford will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East Haven at 10:00 a.m. on November 28th. After each having a week off, Foran and Law will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 10:30 a.m. on November 28th. Foran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.6 points per game this season.
