Hot Springs extended the longest winning streak in Black Hills this week by beating Todd County, 42-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Bison.
Hot Springs made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,257 from 8,581. The advance stemmed from a 42-14 victory over the Falcons last week.
Custer's Chase Glazier and Jared Thomsen have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Glazier has thrown for 1116 yards this season, while Thomsen, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 14 catches for 315 yards. Jake Oberpriller from Ben Kramer's team leads the league in rushing with 642 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Hot Springs takes on second place More. The Bison topped Todd County last week, while More fell to Flandreau.
Hot Springs led Black Hills in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Bob Kornely's team.
