Basketball Recap: Eureka Vandals vs. Yerington Lions
After flying high against Coleville on Friday, Eureka came back down to earth. The Vandals were beaten by the Yerington Lions 70-37 on Friday. The Vandals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Colby Rowe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Yerington, shooting 63% from the field to rack up 25 points along with seven boards and six steals. What's more, Rowe also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Brent Brinkley, who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.
Having lost for the first time this season, Eureka fell to 2-1. As for Yerington, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
